Justification: WIPO national award for enterprises goes to Hidria, razvoj in proizvodnja avtomobilskih in industrijskih sistemov, d.o.o., a prominent Slovenian company, due to its outstanding use of the intellectual property system and its strong emphasis on innovation. Over the last decade, Hidria has launched several globally recognized, IP-protected products, including the PTC Fuel Heater and PSG Pressure Sensing Glow Plug, securing numerous patents across several markets. The company actively collaborates with public research institutions and employs young PhDs, fostering innovation through strategic partnerships. Hidria’s dedication to innovation and IP appreciation is evident in its consistent participation in national innovation awards organized by the Chamber of Commerce Slovenia, management of Leonardo projects which encourage open innovation, as well as active participation in the development conference GREMO. Moreover, Hidria organizes its internal Innovation Forum and promotes its Small Improvements program, which collectively inspire and reward employee creativity. Furthermore, Hidria has established itself as a socially responsible entity, supporting local communities, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and driving initiatives that benefit the public.

About the Prize
The aim is to stimulate Slovenian enterprises to intensify their cooperation with public research organisations. We wish to expose as a good practice those enterprises that are constantly and methodologically using the IP system in their business activities.
